What does the Trustee Board do?
The role of Trustees involves shared responsibility, with tasks often divided among them.  They oversee financial management, policy compliance, and organisational integrity within the Scouts community. The Trustees handle financial strategies, ensure adherence to safety policies and legal regulations, and produce necessary reports and accounts. Additionally, they manage property, insurance, and risk mitigation. Collaborating with Lead Volunteers, Trustees work towards charitable goals and promote a culture of volunteering. Their duties include record-keeping, facilitating selection processes, and seeking expert advice when needed, while also fostering connections within the Scouts community for knowledge-sharing and best practices.

How do I join the Trustee Board?

We currently have spaces to fill on our Trustee Board. Please get in touch through our Contact Us page if you think you have something to offer and can help our Group in any way. Our meetings are held at regular quarterly intervals with a Group AGM organised annually - we would love to welcome more Trustee members on our Board.
